Total Access Statistics

Total Access Statistics, by FMS Inc., is the most powerful data analysis tool available for the Microsoft Access development environment. Able to analyze large data sets stored in Microsoft Jet/Access databases or any linked database, Total Access Statistics combines power and ease of use.

When an Access developer needs statistical analysis, Total Access Statistics will be a godsend. After all, how many developers want to spend time writing the matrix inversion math necessary to calculate a regression when they can get it with a few clicks of the mouse in Total Access Statistics?

If you need data analysis beyond queries, Total Access Statistics offers a wide range of statistical analysis within Access. Easily calculate percentiles, frequency distributions, regressions, ANOVA, non-parametrics, probabilities, etc. Analyze any Access table, linked table, or query with all results in tables. End-user and programmatic interfaces included.

  • Runs from Microsoft's Access Tools, Add-in menu.

  • Analyze data from any Microsoft Access table or linked table.

  • Analyze data from any select queries including multi-table select queries.

  • Analyze an unlimited number of records and multiple fields at one time.

  • Output results to Microsoft Access tables.

  • Interactive Wizard interface requires no programming.

  • Analysis selections are automatically saved as scenarios which can be run again or edited in the future.

  • Optionally specify fields to group sets of records.

  • Optionally weight records based on the value in a field.

  • Optionally ignore a numeric value or range of values.

  • All calculations in double-precision.

  • Single user and network compatible.

  • Programmatic interface to add statistical analysis to your applications.

  • Royalty-free runtime license.

Data Analysis Functions

A wide range of statistical calculations are available, such as:

Field Analysis

  • Count, Missing (blanks), Mean.

  • Minimum, Maximum, Range, Sum, Sum of Squares.

  • Variance, Coefficient of Variance, Std. Deviation, Std. Error.

  • Geometric Mean, Harmonic Mean, Root Mean Square.

  • Skewness, Kurtosis.

  • Mode, Mode Count.

  • t-Test versus Mean (test for null hypothesis).

  • Confidence Intervals (t and Normal tests). 95% and user-specified levels.

Percentiles and Frequency Distributions

  • Percentiles: median, quartiles, quintiles, deciles, and percentiles.

  • Frequency distribution with user-specified group width, initial value and number of intervals. Display count, percent of total, sums and cumulative.

Field Comparison - Compare fields in a record

  • Mean difference, Standard Deviation of difference

  • Covariance, Correlation, R-Square

  • Paired t-Test, Probability (1 or 2 tails).

  • Simple, Multiple and Polynomial (up to 9th order)

  • With Y-Intercept or Zero-Intercept

  • Count, Missing, R-Square, Standard Error of Estimate, and ANOVA

  • Coefficient analysis: Standard Error, Beta, t-Value, and Probability

  • Residual calculation for each data point

Cross-Tabulation and Chi-Square

10 types: Count, Sum, Average, Minimum, Maximum, Range, Variance, Coefficient of Variance, Standard Deviation, Standard Error

  • Count crosstabs for Text and Date value fields

  • Row total and Column sub-totals

  • Percent of Column, Row, and Total

  • Sorted column fields with special handling for blank values

  • Chi-Square Analysis: Chi-Square, Probability, Cramer's V, Phi-Coefficient, Coefficient of Contingency

Group Analysis - Compare groups of records

  • Two-Sample t-Tests (pooled and separate variance tests)

  • ANOVA (Analysis of Variance) with sum of squares, F-Value and probability

  • Two way ANOVA

Non-Parametric Analysis

  • One Sample Chi-Square

  • One Sample Sign Test for Median, Mean, and Custom Value

  • Kolmogorov-Smirnov Goodness of Fit Test

  • Paired Sign Test, Spearman's Rho Correlation

  • Wilcoxon Signed Rank Test for Matched Pairs

  • Wald-Wolfowitz Runs Test

  • Mann-Whitney U Two Sample (non-matched) Test

  • Kruskal-Wallis One Way Analysis of Variance.

  • Friedman's Two Way Analysis of Variance

Probability Calculator

  • Evaluate probability of test values: Z, t, Chi-Square, and F. Enter value, degrees of freedom and the probability appears.

  • Calculate inverse probability. Enter a probability and calculate the equivalent Z, t, Chi-Square, and F value.

  • Eliminate interpolating values in reference tables.

No Programming Required

An interactive Wizard interface guides you through the process with no programming required! All results are generated in the most flexible format: Access tables. Easily display the results in your forms and reports. Your analysis settings are automatically saved so you can modify them later or run them again when your data changes.

Royalty-Free Runtime License Included

Programmers will appreciate the ability to by-pass the interactive interface to generate the results within an Access application. Amaze your users by performing advanced statistical analysis with a simple procedure call. Your users won't even know Total Access Statistics is running in the background. A royalty-free runtime license is included to let you include Total Access Statistics calculations within your applications for distribution to non-Total Access Statistics owners. Simply include our small 1.5 Meg file with your database and you'll be generating advanced statistical analysis.

Total Access Statistics is simply the best data analysis program for Access.

Download Demos

This fully functional demo version can statistically analyze tables with 100 or fewer records. Analysis of queries and the programmatic interface are disabled. Demo requires Access 2003, 2002, 2000, or 97.
